Maturity comes in stages, one step at a time. In the classical sense, knowledge is study and book 'knowing of' information, but in the biblical sense, knowledge is knowing through direct experience or intimate encounter. We as Christians are in different stages of knowing The Word through study, but what about through the encounter? Isn't there an adage that says 'experience is the best teacher'?
'Bridging islands of consciousness' as God has referred to it when talking to me, is the 'what' I am doing and the 'why' is to connect more people in outwardly opposed camps to the heart of The Message that 'the Kingdom is near' when we are connected through the gateway of Love, that heaven on earth is the reality of our purpose when we are in our full-beingness, when we have embodied (recognized) our inner light is the same light that lives within all and it is our job to uncover (unveil) it within ourselves and then stand as the lamp on the table so others can see their way through the darkness too. Jesus rendered the veil null and void when he tore it in two; and His Way, His walk of God's Love among us, invites us to follow him in all the ways this manifested - in the natural and supernatural. The power of Christ is that it matures, rises up in you to such a degree that you believe wholeheartedly in Who He says you are and all that You will do; not just can do, but will do (John 14:12). This is the image Spirit shows me to illustrate the 'islands of consciousness' in "the Sea of Me": picture a vast sea dotted with beautiful islands that from one perspective appear separate. When you look into the sea however, below the surface, you see that the islands are all peaks of one landmass. Through this imagery, God also shows me rainbow bridges between the islands that represent the covenantal promise of The Creator of us all. It is we, too afraid to immerse ourselves in the uncharted depths of the Sea of God for fear of the unknown or fear of that which looks/sounds different than we. The invitation is for us to have the courage to allow the current of God's Whole/Holy Spirit to carry us to 'new to us' places, experiences and expanded understanding. To walk with God means to allow God to lead. It means to not limit the Whole of His Spirit, for creation is ever new, ever expanding. The Seed of Creation is the Spirit of Love and in Judeo-Christian tradition Adam walked and talked with God. It was the natural state. It was heaven on earth. Jesus came as the second Adam to help us remember Who we are in the Family of God, the Family of Creation - to reflect for us what is possible when we allow our hearts to lead us instead of our minds. When the heart is activated then the mind follows where the heart leads. When the heart is closed or in a state of non-forgiveness, the mind is untethered. Without an anchor, the mind can believe things that prevent us from knowing the true purpose of our existence here and now. I pray that you have the courage to step into the unknown whatever the unknown is to you. The unknown can be opposing political views to your own, a stereotype you have about an ethnic group, a discomfort or judgment you have about a different socioeconomic group, or assumptions around what any particular religion or spiritual path is all about. I encourage you to hold yourself accountable and look inwardly at where you have assumptions or stereotypes around any group that you don't interact with. Stretch yourself, stretch your heart, stretch your mind and see if you can perceive God within that other. The invitation is intimacy with God. To see 'into-the-sea-of-me'. Many Blessings to you, Dammah

As I continue to talk with people about what this ministry is about, God has made it very clear to me to "get to the heart of the matter". So what does that mean? This means to not mince words because I do like to write and talk about God, and I have A LOT to say! But as God has directed, I will keep it brief - at least I will try.
The purpose of this ministry is to help The Church, the ecclesia, open its heart more to God with the intention that the closer we come to Him, The Body acts as one heart and one mind. Why? Because when we open our hearts more to God and His innumerable ways, we can open our hearts more to others. Not just Matthew 25: 35-36 'others', but to our brothers and sisters in Christ. This is an ecumenical mission to stand as one body (Eph 4:3-6), one Church, standing on the foundation of Matthew 22: 37-40. Standing as one community, one family, under the banner or Standard of Christ. This banner of love and peace doesn't invade the darkness, it rather invites others into the Light where Love is seen, felt, and made real. Where others believe because they come to know it through the Word and experience. The Bride, the Body of Believers, The Church, is split/divided because of man's interpretation of God's Word (utterance). We know that division weakens any position or message (Matthew 12:25). To follow Christ means to follow His Word, His sound - and he exhorts us to the standard of Matthew 22:37-40 and calls us to be bearers' of this standard. When we do this, everything else becomes clear, becomes whole, becomes one. Spirit once said to me "(The) Love (of God) has a sound that enables us to see." And in turn, the sound we make helps others see too. So what standard do you hold yourself to? What standard does your church family hold itself to? Where do you maintain walls instead of building bridges between other followers of Christ and the Church at large? So the invitation is to look into your own heart with honest introspection. What do you see living within you? Where do you love some and not others, in your family, in your church family? in your community? in the world? Where do you hold a judgment that separates you from others who love Jesus too? Where have you put a label on other Christ followers (denominations) and kept yourself separate because of something other than Matthew 22:37-40? Use the sound of Jesus' words to illuminate your perspective and allow His Voice to open your heart to that which it is closed. Your city needs to see and experience that the Love of God is at the foundation of who you are as an emissary of this Light and that The Body is united in its connection with Christ. How can the body move in one direction and at odds with itself, when the Head tells us otherwise? In order for the Bride and Groom to be compatible, or in communion with one another, they must act as one; one voice, one heart. (Ephesians 4:3-6) This is an ecumenical call to reconciliation - which is a call to love more and to come closer into The Heart of God where His Way is unequivocally our way. Many blessings and peace be with you, Dammah Hello lovely soul!
Over the past year or so, I have had quite a few conversations with pastors of various denominations in regards to how this ministry could come alongside theirs and support their church family; sharing the story of my faith walk and gifts to open hearts and minds to the myriad ways of God. Giving testimony or witnessing to a Christian community about my experience with the Holy Spirit is uncomfortable for some, untimely for others but seeds have been planted. I am excited however to share with you that just last week I had a conversation with a pastor of a prominent church in Lake Norman that is very interested in exploring this more with me! Change is unwelcome in some circles; makes people uncomfortable and we all know what this feels like personally. Some change might be welcomed but there can be limits where fear overtakes our eagerness to embrace change because well, change means 'unknown'. This is precisely though what I've learned through my experience of the Holy Spirit is that the moment we try to limit God (Love) or put Him in a box, we quench the Spirit and in essence kill it, uninvite it, which is an act of disbelief in the omnipotence of God/Love. Love will never hurt us, actually just the opposite. Love heals all wounds, binds the brokenhearted, inspires and gives hope, brings unity and peace. And yet, 'we' use how we interpret God to create separation and division instead of unification. God's ways are beyond measure, beyond knowing, beyond containing and the moment we think we 'know it all', we really come to learn that we know nothing at all in the grand scheme of things! The heart of this ministry is to help people hear the call of reconciliation regardless of their religion or spiritual system. To reconcile ourselves with Love, to forgive ourselves, to forgive others so that we can love all of God's children wholly. This can look like ecumenism, where the varied denominations and various churches come together as one family. This can also look like those outside of the church buildings (spiritual community) to walk alongside their brothers and sisters (neighbors in churches) where Love's Way is what the world sees through our actions. Where Love's Voice is heard and known simply by the level of introspection we have individually to forgive and follow the words of Jesus in Matthew 22: 37-40 which is known also as the Golden Rule "You shall love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." For me, I see this as putting Love on the "altar" of your heart and making all decisions from this place; where Love is the motivator, not money, not public opinion etc. This includes loving yourself as God loves you and seeing that we are all born of the same family, created in the image of this Love. When we can all function from this place, all forms of division, fear and separation are dissolved. So I invite you to see where you can build a bridge instead of a wall between you and whomever it is that you encounter today. Every person is a face of God looking at you, most have simply forgotten who they are in God's eyes... maybe you can help them see the world and their place in it differently with something as simple as a smile if no words come to you. It doesn't have to be a 'spiritually' toned interaction because everything we do can be love-filled to overflowing, or not. The choice is yours, the choice is mine, the choice is ours. How will you mirror love to those that are placed in your path today? What sound will you choose to make today? Love to you always, Dammah #godislove #christconsciousness #weareone |
