First things first. Many people stumble on my name and there is nothing more embarassing than not knowing how to pronounce someone's name! So let's get that taken care of up front - my name is pronounced Dah-Mah.  Feel better? I hope so, because I would love to have a conversation with you at some point in the future and don't want that to be a stumbling block between us.

Now, a little bit more about me.

There is a word that has followed me through much of my life: reconciliation.

In accounting, reconciliation is the work of bringing records into agreement—to look closely, find what doesn't line up, understand why, and bring things back into balance.

In the Church, reconciliation speaks to restored relationship—to what has been separated being brought back together.

I've come to recognize something of that same work in much of what I do.

I help people and organizations find what has become disconnected, unclear, or out of order. Sometimes that means reconciling accounts. Sometimes it means untangling a process or helping a project move forward. Sometimes it means listening, creating space, and helping people find their way back to relationship—with God, with one another, or with what God is doing in their lives.

I don't always know what the answer is when I begin.

But I know how to listen, ask questions, look for what isn't lining up, and make room for what needs to be seen.

Perhaps that's why accounting and ministry don't feel as far apart to me as they might appear.

Both have taught me the value of paying attention.

Both have taught me that what looks complicated on the surface often has something underneath it that needs to be understood.

And both have taught me that sometimes the work is simply helping things come back into right relationship.

I am a Christian, a witness, a writer, a problem solver, and a lover of God's people.

These are some of the ways I spend my days. And I am still discovering what God is doing with all of them.
